Company sponsors charity event to encourage pianists from around the world to showcase their talents
RICHMOND, BC, July 12, 2023 - Audio specialists Edifier are proud to have been the sponsor of the "I CAN PLAY THAT TOO" charity event which was held in June 2023 at St. James' Anglican Church, Vancouver, Canada.
"I CAN PLAY THAT TOO" is a unique musical collaboration series bringing together pianists from around the world to showcase their talents in an exciting and collaborative way.
Founded during the pandemic, by Ariana Abedini, the “I CAN PLAY THAT TOO” series promotes community over competition. Ariana Abedini started playing the piano at the age of 10: classically trained she has perfected a combination of classical, cinematic and video game music. She travelled widely from a very young age and it is her love of travelling that prompted her to found “I CAN PLAY THAT TOO” with the aim of uniting pianists from all over the world. The event offers a platform for pianists of all levels and backgrounds to participate, improve their skills, and share their passion for music with a global audience. At the heart of "I CAN PLAY THAT TOO" is a mission to create a community of pianists that celebrates collaboration, diversity, and inclusivity. Music has the power to bring people together regardless of their differences and by sharing talents and experiences, music can inspire and enrich each other's lives. The 2023 "I CAN PLAY THAT TOO" event was held in St. James' Anglican Church in collaboration with their Music Academy, which is dedicated to providing free music lessons to young people that otherwise couldn't afford it. Admission was free but with optional donations towards the church and the Music Academy.
With its slogan of “A passion for sound”, Edifier is committed to discovering and supporting young musical talent, and to help young musicians everywhere realize their full potential. In total over 22 Edifier products were provided to the entrants of the “I CAN PLAY THAT TOO” event including the QD35 all-in-one speaker System; the WH950NB over-ear wireless headphone; and the GX04 and GM3 True Wireless Gaming Earbuds.

About Ariana Abedini:
Born in Greece, Ariana’s journey began at the age of 10, when she had her first piano lesson. Her love for music became instantly apparent and she gradually developed her piano technique, learned harmony and got her piano diploma (Honors). By the age of 15, she began appearing as a performer and established her unique style in music. Ariana Abedini is a Psychology major (Aristotle University of Thessalonika) with an MSC in Clinical Psychology. Her genuine interest in human behavior, along with her passion for music, led her to combine these fields and help people unlock their inner creativity and chase their dreams through her “Psychology in Music” Masterclass.
Boarding a flight for the first time when she was only 1, she developed a huge passion for travelling, exploring different countries and cultures and getting to know their music. This inspired her to create a series of collaborative piano covers titled “I CAN PLAY THAT TOO” in an effort to unite pianists from all over the world and play different parts of the same piece. It also led to a series of piano covers in nature.
